Retainers

Retainers

To avoid as much as possible unwanted dental movements, retainers are used following your treatment. Indeed, with or without orthodontic treatment, teeth tend to move throughout your life, even in a very discreet way. This aging phenomenon is inevitable just like wrinkles.

The most commonly used devices are:

·  A fine wire glued behind the lower front teeth (therefore not visible). This wire should be kept as long as possible.

·  Removable retainers usually worn at night.

If your teeth have moved, it is always possible to have an orthodontic treatment again to improve their position.
